The Shot Club: New Basketball Shooting Class
New Season Begins This Winter | Grades 3rd – 9th
About the Program:
Are you ready to elevate your shooting game to the next level? Introducing The Shot Club, a brand-new basketball shooting class focused entirely on perfecting your shot! Whether you’re a beginner looking to build a solid foundation or an experienced player aiming to refine your technique, this class will help you achieve precision and consistency.

What to Expect:
In The Shot Club, you’ll work on form, mechanics, and various shooting styles. This class is designed to develop and fine-tune the critical aspects of shooting:
- Fundamentals of Shooting Form: Break down the perfect shot step by step, ensuring proper hand positioning, footwork, and balance.
- Different Shooting Styles: From mid-range jumpers to long-range shots, players will practice and sharpen multiple shooting techniques.
- Repetition for Mastery: Players will have the opportunity for 10 minutes of rapid-fire shooting using the state-of-the-art Shooting Gun. This specialized equipment allows for maximum repetition in a short period, giving you a chance to lock in your muscle memory.
Why Shot Club?
Repetition is the key to improvement, and this class will focus on helping you develop a consistent shot through high-volume practice and targeted drills. By the end of the program, you’ll see improvements in accuracy, speed, and confidence every time you step onto the court.

Monday, Dec 2nd – Thursday, March 20th.
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Classes will be limited to 12 players)
3rd/4th: Monday

Led by Tony Bergeron
Tony Bergeron is a former assistant coach for UMass basketball, joining the team in 2019. In his first season, he helped guide the Minutemen to their best conference finish since 2015, securing the No. 8 seed in the Atlantic 10 Tournament. Bergeron previously coached at Woodstock Academy, where he led the team to a 38-2 record and a No. 2 national ranking. With over 400 wins in high school and prep basketball, Bergeron has also coached at Commonwealth Academy and East Longmeadow, among others. He is a 1994 graduate of The King’s College with a degree in Physical Education.
