Program Overview

The season will run from late March through early June. Players will practice with their teams anywhere from 2-3 times a week and play in one-day, weekend or three-day tournaments.

Team practices will kick off late March. We expect to play in our first tournament in April. Tournaments are weekend obligations, and almost all are outside of New York City. Please be prepared to travel into Westchester, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania or other locations.

AAU basketball is a significant commitment for our most dedicated basketball players that are looking for intense coaching and competition. Players that fit this program should be willing to accept coaching and be prepared for playing time determined at the coach’s discretions. Families should be prepared for weekend travel, weeknight practices and week-of schedule releases from Tournament Directors. We are more than happy to recommend a more fitting program for your child, if AAU is not the right one.

Most practices will take place Monday – Friday afternoons or early evenings. Please be prepared for practices to begin as early as 4:30 PM or end as late as 9:30 or 10:00 PM (Fridays only). Practice time and location will be assigned after the team formation process is completed. All Players will need to attend our player evaluations in order to be a part of the program.

Teams should anticipate playing five to seven tournaments and a minimum of one overnight tournament weekends overnight trip.

To improve your experience, we have changed our registration process for the Spring 2025 AAU Season. EVERY PLAYER is required to register and attend tryouts. There is a $25 tryout fee and players will receive their own reversible numbered jersey.
