Competitive Basketball With Perspective
Choose Your Team Pathway
Our 6th–8th grade teams are built for middle school players looking for strong coaching, competitive games, player development, and the right team environment.
As players move through middle school, the level of structure, accountability, effort, discipline, and competition continues to increase. Fastbreak provides two team pathways: Elite for players seeking a more competitive fall and winter experience, and Select for players looking for a positive, organized winter team experience.
Fastbreak Elite Teams
Grades 6–8 | Fall / Winter SeasonThe Elite program is intended for players who are serious about improving, competing, and continuing to develop within a positive team environment that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and enjoying the experience of being part of a team.
As players progress through 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, the level of competition, structure, accountability, effort, and discipline continue to increase in preparation for high school basketball opportunities.
Players in the Elite program have typically chosen basketball as one of their primary sports. Our coaches are firm, positive, and accountability-driven, helping players learn how to respond to coaching, handle adversity, and compete with confidence.
Beginning in 6th grade, players continue developing their basketball skills and understanding of the game as they physically mature and develop. By 7th and 8th grade, there is increased emphasis on attitude, accountability, effort, and preparation for high school basketball.
Players begin learning more advanced basketball concepts, including defensive rotations, ball screen coverage, taking charges, and situational decision-making, while being held to team standards.
Playing time is intended to be meaningful for all rostered players, with players typically receiving at least one-third of each game. If a player may not yet be ready for this level of competition or is struggling within the team environment, our staff will communicate openly with families to help determine the best developmental path.
