About the League…

NYC Kids Flag Football league runs Fall/Winter/Spring on the Upper East and Upper West Side for 1st-8th Graders. Our mission is to provide a competitive and fun flag football league and we’re excited to partner with the best youth organizations in New York. Our league will provide your child with a fun, safe and competitive outlet to stay active outdoors, compete with/against friends and play in weekly games.

Player Request

Players may request up to 2 people for their team placement. After week 1 evaluation; we will draft equally competitive teams. Teams are subject to balancing trades within the first couple of weeks. There will be regular season games along with playoffs and championship. Each session will consist of 60 minutes (team practice and game). All games will have an official referee, league score, standings and championship awards for league winners.

Team Building (Only 7th/8th Division)

Players will recruit, build and coach their own teams of up to 9 players so grab some friends and come to compete for bragging rights. If you do not have enough players, we can help fill out any remaining spots with Free Agent players. To request a team – please email eddie@fastbreakkids.com. There will be regular season games along with playoffs and championship. Each session will consist of 60 minutes of gameplay. Cost: $700 per player (Includes Reversible League Jersey and Belt)

Division Info: Limited to 8 Teams Per Division

Division (1st/2nd) | 1:00pm – 2:00pm

Division (3rd/4th) | 2:00pm – 3:00pm

Division (5th/6th) | 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Division (7th/8th) | 4:00pm – 5:00pm

Spectators There will be designated areas for spectators to watch from a distance. We ask that parents and players stay separate throughout the program. Player and team requests. We have received and documented all player and team requests and will factor these into our team building. Please notify us ASAP if you have not yet made any requests and are looking to do so. For week 1 scrimmages, players will engage in “pick-up” style play for the evaluation and may not be placed with their requests. League Schedules League schedules will be confirmed after week 1 evaluation. All divisions are scheduled to play at the same time each week (see below under program times). All teams will be emailed with their team name, roster and game schedule. Weather Policy Will run in non-hazardous conditions. This is an outdoor winter league and weather conditions are not ideal. Games will run in rain, snow and cold. You should assume games are on as scheduled unless otherwise notified. We also strongly encourage you to ensure that your child is properly dressed for all weather conditions. Cancelation All families will be emailed prior to 10am if the program is canceled. If for any reason we cancel the program our goal is schedule a make-up date by extending the season. If we are unable to schedule a make-up date, we will credit all families for the missed session(s). Attire/Uniform Players must bring their jersey each week. Please be mindful of the weather and dress appropriately. Cleats We strongly encourage that players wear cleats during games as the field may be wet at times. Players with cleats will be at an advantage while playing. No metal spike/cleats allowed. Water/Gatorade There will be no access to water at the field so be sure to send adequate water/sports drink with your child. League Information After week 1 – all league information updates, scores, standings and schedules will be posted online. We will update you with the website information and team placements next week.
